  1. Plug-in USB RAM, auto start sequential play, [-] / [+] key to change volume, press [-] & [+] (middle of ONEbox.micro key) can stop or play again.

  2. Use smartphone enter music server mode, browse folder storage in USB ram, select song and play

  3. Short hold [+] key, you will hear voice guidance to select audio input, select “local server” and song will play automatical

DLNA

Setup :                  Install DLNA APPS in your smartphone, recommend APPS :

HiFi CAST  (Android)  -  high sound quality, only support song stored in the phone

BublbleUPnP  (Android)  -  support DMR, DMC, DMS, song can stored in NAS server

Window Media Player  (WIN)  -  high sound quality, support DMC, DMS

Sesam Music  (iPhone)  -  use iPhone as remote controller to play song in NAS server

File format :           WAV 96/24, WAV 44.1/16, MP3  (not support AIF)

Operation :            Setup the ONEbox WiFi, either client mode (connect to router) or host mode (standalone WiFi)

  1. Open DLNA APPS, select renderer (DMR) ONEbox____

  2. Select song library in smartphone local, NAS server or ONEbox server (DMS)

  3. Play song

USB audio

Setup :                   WIN select play device as ONEbox stereo, set device properties output format 96/24.

iMac set default play to ONEbox stereo, set device format 96/24.

Remark : Play device ONEbox stereo will disappear if ONEbox is in playing mode of other                                                     inputs.

Format :                Support 48KHz 16bit and 96KHz 24bit

Operation :           Plug and play

CD player

Setup :                  Connect CD player digital audio output to ONEbox by optical cable

Format :                44.1KHz 16 bit and 88.2KHz 16/24 bit (SACD LPCM output on optical port)

Operation :           Standard

AirPlay

Setup :                  Connect ONEbox to your home router, you can find ONEbox on your iPhone play

Format :                Apple standard AAC

Operation :           Standard

Third party subwoofer

You can connect your active subwoofer to ONEbox.micro RCA port. The port output 1Vrms signal, frequency range from 1~350Hz. A typical 3.5mS time lead is applied on the port to compensate subwoofer analogy delay. Hints to setup external subwoofer :

  1. Avoid ground loop form in ONEbox.micro and subwoofer, ground loop will get humming noise

  2. Don’t use subwoofer filter, cutoff filter will induce additional delay causing phase error

  3. Don’t put ONEbox.micro on subwoofer top, vibration will kill bass sound quality

  4. Bypass subwoofer delay if subwoofer is place near your main speaker

  5. If your subwoofer is low in input sensitivity, turn LFE output to boosted level to get +6dB gain

If your subwoofer is giant size (i.e. 12” or 16” driver), we strongly recommend to parallel an ONEwoofer.6+6 to fill up low bass (60~100Hz). Bass can go to very deep continuously.

Sound setting

Up-sampler in console box

You can select 3 types of up-sampling interpolation filter. Setting cannot be change on-the-fly during playing, the change will be applied on next play (stop play and then restart to play)

  • Constant     -              an averaging filter, give original sound character

  • Linear         -              a sine argument predication filter, natural sound (used in Window)

  • Cubic         -              a high order polynomial filter, sweet sound (used in iOS)

Speaker sound profile

Set of audio parameter for sound re-construction in speaker, parameters include : filter type, crossover frequency, amplifier gain, up-sampling predication factor and phase correction scheme.

  • Warm          -              Tube amplifiers character

  • Natural        -              Balanced character

  • Clarity         -              Solid state amplifier character

  • Dynamic     -              Design for 2.1 pseudo LFE mode

Tweeter gain and treble level

Setting to compensate room size, absorption and reflection. Small room usually need to have more treble to compensate more bass reflection, large room need less treble of weak bass.

Tune range : [-3 .. 0 .. +3] 7 steps in 0.5dB change of each step

Pseudo LFE mode

Character of pseudo LFE channel is stereo play. That mode doesn’t have effect on 5.1 surround channel.

  • Soft             -              a layer of soft bass, fill up small size speaker low frequency response

  • Comfort      -              well-tuned crossover point of subwoofer and main speaker

  • Strong        -              emphasised bass, overlapped low frequency, with a high punching filter

Bass filling

Concept of bass filling is use subwoofer to play mid-low bass to compensate ONEmicro and ONEmini mid-low frequency response. Compensation is applied on L, R and C channel.

  • Low           -              slightly add mid-low bass  (no detect of speaker)

  • High          -              add mid-low bass according to manufacturer measurement  (no detect of speaker)

  • Auto          -              auto detect speaker size and put proper mid-low bass compensation

Loudness

An extended frequency response and emphasis sound sharpness in very low volume play. This is use to compensate human hearing weak in very low level sound. You can select loudness on or off.

Subwoofer volume

Adjust subwoofer volume according to different audio mode.
