Wireless speaker are only low end product, can it have HiFi sound quality ?
The answer is definitely a YES!
For past few years, no wireless speaker can be qualified as high end speaker. A high end speaker should be capable of playing all kinds of music. Benchmark is classical music, jazz and vocal song. Classical music demands a good sound stage, jazz demands a good sound image, vocal song demands low time jitter.
Nowadays, the most common wireless technologies for wireless speaker are WiFi and Bluetooth which are very poor in channel synchronization. The sound stage and sound image are totally lost. That’s why we use DECT technology which has the highest accurate timing characteristic. It can achieve channel synchronization less than 0.5uS which is 40 times better than WiFi, and can have time jittering as low as 0.02ppm. DECT technology can overcome wireless speaker deep-rooted problems. And, DECT is a free of interference channel.
Without speaker cable, cable distortion is completely removed. Bi-amplifier active crossover design provides direct drive for woofer and tweeter. This guarantees that woofer and tweeter are in-phase so as to remove the phase error problem on overlapping band during passive crossover in a conventional speaker.
Starting from receiver to amplifier output, it is a fully digital design with no DAC on the path. This can minimize noise pick up and microphonic effect. ONEclassic wireless speaker can performance better than wired speaker.
Unbeatable accurate sound stage
Excellent channel synchronization between left and right channel gives a very precise sound stage and front to back layering. You will feel you are actually there with music coming from three dimensional space.
Excellent imaging
Woofer and tweeter perfect in-phase gives superb imaging which would embarrass many conventional speakers. With good imaging, you can ‘see’ sound object position, size and outline.
Clean, clear and pure music
ONEclassic uses all-in-one firmware loaded in a single chip. Signal flow is the most simple with only a few external components in the circuit board. Audio interface with amplifiers is digital, making sure no noise and no cross-talk on the path. Sound is clean and clear, background is silent, music is pure and natural.
Well balanced sound
Natural balance exists in everything in the world. Sound should be also well balanced for the best experience. Too much bass or treble will destroy music truthiness. The ONEclassic has well-balanced sound which is suitable for all kinds of music, from instrument to orchestral, from vocal solo to rock band.
Rich and full bodied vocal
2-way speaker usually gets a problem in woofer and tweeter crossover point at mid frequency range. This frequency range is the most sensitive in human listening, especially in playing vocal sound. Our engineers spent long time to tune the crossover point, making sure frequency response is flat. Therefore, ONEclassic has a full bodied vocal, female voice is sweet, male voice is rich.
See-through secret
Why acrylic?
The most popular see-through material is glass. However, glass is too hard. Glass doesn’t have absorption which creates strong reflection inside speaker enclosure. Many people think wood is the best material because of its proper adsorption and reflection.
Acrylic has high internal damping characteristic. Sound wave hitting the acrylic panel is absorbed and sound wave reflection is stopped. This greatly reduces enclosure internal reflection. Sound absorption index is close to pear wood. Acrylic sound is natural, basis to warm.
Acrylic is high density material. A pair of ONEclassic speaker weighs 21Kg. A 12mm thickness board can give 20mm MDF fiber hardness. Thinner board allows larger inner enclosure space to give lower bass.
The perfect joint, a one piece enclosure
Every acrylic panel is joined together at 45o edge to increase the joint surface. They are bonded by solvent welding which softens the acrylic surfaces so that they merge to one piece. This chemical bond formed by soften welding is much stronger than the physical bond by gluing. This gives a perfect single piece enclosure. Strong enclosure reduces the secondary vibration on enclosure surface.
Colourless, Crystal shinny, Multi-reflection
We use laser to cut 12mm acrylic panel with a 45° cutting edge. Each cutting edge is carefully polished to high gloss. Joint edges are single and create a multi-reflection of light, shining brightly under the sunlight. ONEclassic2 is both a pleasure to look at and listen to. Acrylic is high quality material with 100% colourless, perfect match with any colour while glass is always tinted with pale green. Acylic is 360° fully transparent with shiny edge. You can see it straight through even from the narrow edge. For glass, you cannot see what is behind the edge. You can easily fit ONEclassic2 into any house as an elegant décor.
No absorption sponge
We can’t put absorption material inside the speaker enclosure. Instead, we use a piece of EVA at the bottom to absorb harmonic and an oblique plane to block driver diaphragm backward sound. Firmed joint edge provides the strongest body without internal structure. Circuit board is plain with no heat sink for amplifier and no bulky analogy component
Safe and durable
Glass speaker with sharp corners may cause danger, if knocked over could shatter. Acrylic is not fragile as glass. You can place your ONEclassic2 anywhere you like, no need to worry about breaking up into heaps of sharp pieces by your children or pets.
